The Unforgettable Wedding Tradition You Aren’t Doing
Everyone knows about the timeless tradition of having flower girls walk down the aisle, a basket of petals in hand, leading the way before the bride. But have you ever heard of this twist on that timeless tradition? No? Well, you are missing out!
Andrea & Mike took this tradition and gave it a fun twist for their wedding!
Rather than flower girls, they chose to honor their grandmothers and invited them to be their “Flower Grandmas!”
The best part of photographing this moment was that it was a surprise to all of the guests!
When it was time for typical flower girls to walk down the aisle, the grandmas stood up from their seats walked to the back of the ceremony and surprised everyone (except the Bride and Groom of course!)
Joy filled the entire wedding ceremony!
The grandmas had a ton of fun with it too, giggling the whole way down the aisle, tossing flowers on guests, they even wore the same sparkly pink Kate Spade shoes to match the bridal party!
It is so important to have these memories with the people who matter most to you because opportunities pass.
Just a few short months after the wedding one of the Grandmas past away.
Celebrate the people that you a have in your life!
Laugh with them.
Create memories together.
Surround yourself with those memories.
These are the stories we adore telling for our couples and their families.
Giving you back authentic, dynamic, relational photographs with the people who matter most to you.
