Tell us about your venue:
We got married at Holy Cross Catholic Church and our reception was at the Athletic Club of Columbus. We had our cocktail hour downstairs on the first floor, our reception upstairs on the second floor, and our after party in basement of the Athletic Club at The Booth.
Let’s talk about flowers! Describe your bouquet and boutonnieres:
Our flowers came up from the amazing talents of Rose Bredl. They literally made my dream bouquet come to life. I said I wanted my flowers to be very neutral – creams, ivories, whites with natural greenery and my floral visions came true. All bouquets had the addition of ribbon tails. Boutonnieres were simply a white flower with a touch of green.
Tell us about the wedding dress:
My wedding dress was purchased at La Jeune Mariee and it was a customized Lazaro gown. It had a sheer lace bodice with an open back, the neckline was altered to be a v-neck with hand-sewn lace, and then there was a long train on my dress that was pinned up for the reception.
How did you feel the morning of your wedding? Did you have wedding day jitters?
Andrea: I felt good! I was more nervous three days before my wedding than I was the actual day of the wedding. I woke up on the day of and was ready! I was more nervous about the idea of walking down the aisle more than anything.
Steve: I felt really good. I was very excited for the day and ready to start our lives together. I was a little nervous in the morning, but getting ready with my guys took away most of the jitters.
Steve, in 5 words describe what you thought when you
saw your bride walking down the aisle:
Party time! First off, how was that cake? And why did you choose your cake designer?
We used Le Gateau for our wedding cake. Our wedding cake was not only one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had, but it truly looked like a piece of art. Le Gateau was amazing to work with and she actually used the design of my dress to help design our cake. We can hardly wait until our one year anniversary to bust out the top layer of our cake!
What was the most memorable moment of the reception?
If you could choose one photograph to highlight from your whole wedding, what photo would that be?
